The "V" Shape
Young faces hold volume high. This high volume forms a "V"-like shape. As the face ages, collagen breaks down and the skin looses elasticity. The effects of gravity cause that volume to descend into the lower portions of the face, forming more of a square-like or even upside down "V"-like shape.
The photos below indicate age progression. The "V"-like shape is easily seen in the photos of the younger faces. Just as the square-like or upside-down "V" shapes are obvious in the aging faces.
