Mesotherapy
Invented in 1952 by a French doctor named Michel Pistor, Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive technique widely used in cosmetology and aesthetic medicine to correct dermatological problems such as acne, wrinkles, stretch marks and scars. It is also one of the only treatments proven to radically reduce cellulite. Ninety percent of all women have cellulite, a condition that worsens with age. With 3 to 12 Mesotherapy sessions you can begin to notice a marked reduction, and in some cases, even complete elimination, of cellulite. Mesotherapy is also often used to rejuvenate aging skin. This process utilizes vitamins, minerals and amino acids, which are injected into your skin to moisturize and nourish it. The production of collagen and elastin are thus stimulated, making the skin look revitalized and appear years younger. Four to six Mesotherapy treatments are recommended for skin rejuvenation.
How does it work?
The doctor will perform an allergy test on your skin 24 hours before starting a Mesotherapy treatment to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the products used. If your test results are favorable, treatment will proceed. A topical numbing cream is applied 45 minutes prior to your appointment. Tiny doses of a special blend of FDA-approved medications, natural extracts, vitamins and minerals are injected to the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under your skin, using a very small needle. In the case of cellulite, the medication acts directly on the problem area, causing fat cells to shrink and rupture. The fluids are then excreted by the body.
After Treatment
Patients may experience a slight burning sensation for 15 to 20 minutes. The skin in the area that was treated may feel sore and swollen for several days.Benefits
